Action – Litterpick James Field Completed

After a report of an accumulation of litter as well as associated fly tipping at the James Field site was identified earlier in the week, the members of the Admin team in co-operation with the Local Neighbourhood Watch organised a litter pick at the James Field site, with social distancing measures in place for all volunteers.

This morning at 10.30 around 27 bags waste bags of litter were removed from the site and left for council collection on 22nd of March 2021. Also removed and put ready for the council was a large amount of household dumped waste, broken glass, and wood building waste from a previous flytip which had been attempted to be burned on the site.

we very much want to thank the 15 Volunteers who turned up for the event, In 1 hour the field has been almost completely cleaned, with only unreachable parts being left until the council cut back foliage to allow better access.
